Callie's first night...

I will write about Callie's birth later on when I have more time(ha!)...but we left the hospital about 5 last night. I was so overwhelmed the whole car ride home. Tate said momma for about 20 mins straight, and the boys were bickering and my head was spinning from medicine still, and I was seriously overwhelmed with my new life. Today has been better, all due to the fact that my super awesome parents are here. Mom has been doing EVERYTHING for me and it is so nice. I do not know what I'd do without her and I am excited to be that helpful to my own kids when they are older. We went to bed around 10 last night and here is how the night went:

10:45- baby up crying, nursed one side then fell asleep

11:30- back in bed

12:05- diaper change and nursed both sides, we both fell asleep during this

1:00- back in bed

1:30- I took a dose of medicine

1:54- baby up crying, nursed again

2:30- back in bed, Brent home from work, baby sleeps

5:05- baby up, nurses, I discover my spinal headache is back with a vengance

6:25- lay my head back on the pillow only to hear Hunter opening his bedroom door and the day starts.

It was actually the best first night we'd had with all the kids. By the third one it is easier to rest and not freak out over every noise they make. As I lay in bed hearing Callie making noises all I could think was ok, good, she's still alive...zzzzzzzz. She woke me up when she needed something. Let's hope tonight is good, I'm feeling sorer by the minute. I'll just have to keep up on the pain medicine, which I hate taking. The Newsboys song, "God is watching over you" has been going through my head all day. I am so thankful to Him for the health of the baby and me, it was a very tramatic experience for me and I really felt/feel his presence. Here are the lyrics to that song:

Newsboys - God Is Watching Over You Lyrics

He sees you down by the water line
knows what you thinking all the time
He sees the rising of the waves
when the tide starts rolling in he lets you know its gonna be okay

He sees you dancing in the moonlight
His arms around you hold you tight
and if those clouds should start to break
He'll be standing out in the rain with you
and though its hard to believe he beieves in you

(Chorus)
God is watching over you as always
you are loved whatever you go through
he's right beside you
god is watching over you as always
and if you think he'll ever leave you
you'd better think again

Painted in the sky a rainbow to remind you
nothing that is broken
cannot be made new
and when you feel so far away
he's gonna keep the nightlight on
he's waiting there
there to recieve you

God is watching over you as always
You are loved whenever you go ...

Through fire through wind and through rain
yesterday today and tomorrow the same
nothing there can take this love
nothing you can do can change this love
climb a tree gonna reach so high
Swing low sweet chariot
It's time to fly ...
oooh oh
and if you think he'll ever leave you
you'd better think again

God is watching over you as always
you are loved whatever you go through
he's right beside you
god is watching over you as always
and if you think he'll ever leave you
you'd better think again
