Cute Callie in her Sunday Best

I just LOVE dressing up Callie. It is so much fun to dress up a little girl! And since I just love it so much I occasionally take pictures of her wearing some of my favorite outfits. Here are some...

She said something funny on the way to church today. Hunter was telling us he wants a drum set so he can learn to play the drums and Callie piped up, "Hunter, I'll rock out with you!!"

....make a snowman!! I literally jumped when I opened the curtains to find snow yesterday. I was really really mad, but after the party we went to in the morning the kids and I went out and had fun making a snowman and having a snowball fight. What was even more fun was pelting Brent with snowballs when he pulled in from work. We got him good! :) Now that we've had fun, though, the snow can LEAVE!!!

Our Bedroom Remodel

We are FINALLY nearing the end of our bedroom remodel. For those of you who know us, you'll know that it was a difficult remodel mostly b/c we were sick for 3/4 of the time! We have been the absolute sickest we've ever been as a family this year. We blame having a school-ager in the house, so hopefully our immune systems will be solid for next year and on. I'll start with some before pictures of the room:

I got the electric fireplace from Craigslist for $50.

I picked up an old door at an antique store for our headboard and we love it!

Brent built the bench inbetween the closets out of scrap we already had and we used some old doors of his parents cut down for our other closet doors. One of my favorite things are the swing arm lamps we put on the side of our headboard.

I also love the built in bookshelf that we put in the end of the half wall.

As much work as it was(and I can't say enough HOW MUCH WORK IT WAS! I have a hard-working husband for sure) it is SO rewarding to know that you did it all yourself. Now comes the fun part of enjoying it lots and lots. We just have to add another light above the stairs and finish up a little bit of trim work, ad some knobs to our doors and we're all done! And I mean done as in forever done remodeling....for now. :)
