Hunter absolutely loves his little sis. He totally adores her. I'm not trying to leave Tate out, he loves her too, but Hunter is in total love with Callie. Tate has to know where Callie is as soon as he wakes up in the morning or from his nap. He goes all over the house saying "Baby!" until he sees her. Hunter says the cutest things to her, I have to record them before I forget. He's always talking to her in a higher pitched voice. Here are some of the things I've heard him say to her:
-"It's OK, I'm not a monster!"
-"Aren't you just the cutest little girl!"
-"Don't cry, I'm here."
-"Those are the cutest little toes I ever saw." (he then proceeds to do the "this little piggy" game with her.
-"Oh, aren't you just a little peanut."
I know there have been more, but those are the few I remember. He is so cute with her. I had no idea the boys would be so great with her. I was really worried about how they would respond to having her here, especially Tate, but they just love her and it makes me so happy.
We're off to the chiropractor today again. She seemed to fuss less the night I got her worked on, but still was up a lot in the night. Last night we had youth group, and one of the girls there held her the whole time and she was awake and being so good, so she slept from 10-3:30! That was awesome. She was awake from 3:30-5, and Brent was up with her most of that time. I was stuck in dreamworld and couldn't get out. I was burping her after feeding and had her propped up by her face with my hand, and she spit up and it went all down the sleeve of my robe. Not the greatest feeling that was:)
A couple more funny Hunter sayings: Last night at supper he kept saying to Brent and me, "Guys, laugh. Laugh!" So I laughed and he then asked me, "What's so funny??"
And yesterday morning Brent and I were kissing goodbye in the kitchen(again) and Hunter peers around the corner and says, "Oh, guys, that's enough!"
