The boys have been playing with these bugs I got at a garage sale. They really like them. I, however, am sort of regretting that I got them. I come around the corner constantly jumping at the sight of bugs on my floor and counter. Ahh!

A Blowout, A Spare Key incident, A Sick day, and Garage sales!!
We've had a busy week. I stayed home Monday and Tuesday, but Tuesday night we went to Crosslake b/c our friends took us out for pizza. We had a fun time and visited the park after supper. They have a really nice park there, but it was overloaded with older kids, all of which Hunter was scared of(not Tate, though, he went right in with them) They played awhile and Callie got fussy, so I went in the picnic shelter with my friend and started nursing her. She was almost done nursing when she let loose a terrible sound(the sound of massive pants filling) I put the back of the van up and was going to change her and found that she had blown out everywhere! Most I've seen in all the kids(funny that it would be the girl) She had poo all the way up to her neck! It was everywhere. I spent a good 10 minutes trying to get it all cleaned up. It was nuts.
Wednesday we went to our friends house to play, and that was fun. On Wednesday night there was a spring clean up scheduled at church. Brent went to represent the youth group, and took Hunter with him. I walked to the church with Tate and Callie. I put Callie in her car seat and put that in the double stroller. It ended up being a bad decision b/c the kids were kind of wild and did more damage than good. I decided to walk back home early(I thought we'd all be going home in the van at the same time) b/c of the chaos, and Hunter walked while I pushed the other two. I didn't have a house key, but wasn't worried b/c we have a spare hidden. Or at least we NORMALLY have a spare hidden. I got home, checked the spot and it wasn't there! Someone(Brent) forgot to put it back. So...I was locked out with a very tired 3 year old, a rambunctious 20 month old and a hungry crying baby. I nursed Callie while Hunter and Tate played while hoping Brent would show up any minute, but he wasn't showing up. Then Hunter came and told me, "Mom! I have to go poopy!!" I thought, oh great! I pleaded with him to hold it and decided to trek BACK to the church to get the key. I knew Hunter didn't have the energy to walk back, and I didn't want him to have an accident, so I put he and Tate in the wagon and pulled that while carrying Callie in her car seat. My arms felt like they were going to come right out of their sockets. It was NOT FUN. I saw Brent heading home when I was within sight of the church, so we got a ride back home without incident. I was pretty stinking tired.
I woke up yesterday morning about 5:30(I should say was woken up) and fed Callie and I all of a sudden realized I felt extremely sick, so I got sick. I proceeded to get sick several times and got a major migraine. It was so weird, it just hit me. Luckily Brent was able to get the day off to watch the kids for me, and I actually got a sick day!! That never happens! I just slept the whole morning and afternoon. I don't know what I would have done without him to stay with the kids! I'm feeling better today, it was really strange how hard it hit me and then left.
We went out to some garage sales this morning with my friend and her kids. I found a few bargains. I got a changing pad for the top of the dresser that we are getting, which I was thrilled about. I was just thinking to myself I needed to be on the lookout for one of them, so it was nice to find one(for $3!) I also found a game for Hunter that I'd been wanting called Hullabaloo. We borrowed a game from Brent's aunt called Slammer, and Hunter LOVES it, and Hullabaloo is similar to it, and it was only a dollar, so I am excited. He LOVES games. He always wants to play them. I'm headed down to play it with him after I get done with this. Tomorrow is the big garage sale trip, and I am hoping the weather cooperates. After we went to the garage sales we took the kids to a park and they had fun playing. Here are a few pictures: (the one is of Micah and Tate picking up sand to throw on the slide.)

A few funny Hunter sayings:
-we were driving and there were lots of cars b/c its fishing opener this weekend and Hunter said, "Mom, there are a lot of cars in the forest!"
-I told him good job about something and he said, "Mom, I don't even have a job."

My 100th Post
Today is starting out kind of rough. Couldn't get my eyes open at first this morning, it took a really long time for me to feel somewhat coherent. Usually I don't have that much of a problem. It was a "two cup" morning for coffee. The boys are fighting a lot and whining a lot, so they are watching Sesame Street. I'm not sure I can handle their bickering just yet in the day. The quiet is nice. I just got done doing Pilates to wake me up a little, so at least that is out of the way for the day. I'm trying to decide if it is going to rain or not. I'm kind of wanting to take the kids to a park.
Last night we had our first campfire of the season. I of course used my new camera to take some pictures. Pretty sure the kids are tired of me taking their pictures. They had fun gathering some pine cones for the fire. Our yard is full of them. Hunter wanted to roast some marshmallows, so I got them out, but he just ate them right out of the bag instead.

Callie was enthralled with the fire. She sat on my lap looking wide eyed it.

Eventually she fell asleep.

After nap yesterday Hunter wanted to go to the river. So we started out but got only to the end of the block before I felt a few sprinkles. I turned around and they wailed the whole way back to the house. I decided to drive there, and it was fine, it didn't end up raining. Here is a picture I took: (pretty sure I'm going to have to get a Flickr account)

Last night at supper Hunter wanted to tell us a story. He started it out, "Once upon a day" and told us he was going to eat a whole bunch of ice cream. Then he said his stomach would get bigger and bigger and bigger and he stuck his gut way out. Then he said he would go "Ahh" and his stomach would get smaller again. But then he'd eat more he said.

Some pictures from the weekend.
My parents and sister came up for the weekend. It was really nice having them here, and we just relaxed. The weather was pretty nice so Laci and I played tennis. Brent had to work some of yesterday and is out working right now. He is having to get the resort ready for the Governor for the big fishing opener next weekend. I am already looking forward to next weekend! I am going to a city wide garage sale with some friends. I've been going through our clothes for the summer and we are really set for Tate and pretty well set for Hunter. We were wanting a new dresser for Callie's room, and after mentioning it at S & D's today Debbie said we could have Brent's old dresser that they have at their house, so I can cross that off the list!
Anyway, this weekend we celebrated mom and dad's 28th anniversary! (last weekend was Brent's parents 34th!) It's great to have two good models for marriage.
Mom brought Callie's new quilt and we had a little photo shoot with her on it:

I had fun making her smile:

My sister and I had some fun with fake teeth: (we were trying to look hideous, ok)
And finally some more pictures of Callie:

Well, it is a REALLY nice day out, so I'm going to go enjoy it!

Callie's two month checkup
I can't believe its already May! Callie had her two month check-up on Wednesday. I am totally happy with our decision to move to the local clinic. I was in and out of there in 40 minutes. We wouldn't have even made it to Brainerd in the amount of time! The appointment was even at the kids nap time, but they did really well. The nurse was wearing SpongeBob scrubs so Hunter loved that. After the nurse measured Callie's head she gave Hunter the tape to play with while we waited for the doctor. He then measured her head and said it was "4:30" around. Callie is up to 11 lbs 2 oz and is 23 1/4 inches long. I was suprised b/c she sure doesn't look and feel very big still. She was in the 50% for weight and the 75% for height. Pretty great for being born early I say. Everything else looked fine. We didn't get shots, we'll start those at 4 months. I wanted to make sure she was big enough and truthfully I hate shots...so we'll deal w/that next time.
In other news I might start working w/Tate on potty training soon. He has started going into the bathroom, lifting up the seat, standing there in his diaper and going. This morning I was in the bathroom and he came in, lifted the seat and then pooped his diaper. It would be awesome to only have one child in diapers! I've taken his diaper off several times and he's yet to go, but we're getting closer!
