I cannot believe that 2008 will be over as of tonight! Seriously, where does time go??? I think it goes by faster the more kids you have. So, in reflecting on the year, I came up with some favorite times of the year. They are in no specific order.
8. Going geocaching. We really enjoyed doing that this year. Brent and I were able to go geocaching on a couple dates, we went out as a family a few times, and I still think about the fun we had when I drive through Jenkins.
7. Becoming an aunt(pronounced like the bug)!!! I became an aunt of not one but TWO nephews this year(with another coming in a little over a month!) I really enjoy being an aunt(and Brent an uncle) and I'm lucky to have such cute nephews!
6. Our exciting house grant! We feel so blessed to be a part of this. It has taken WAY longer than we ever thought it would, but it will totally be worth it. I can't even describe how excited I am to have new windows and siding, especially since we are FREEZING here! Hopefully they'll be starting on it in a couple months!
5. Having Callie. It was one of the most difficult years for me that I've had in awhile. Going from two to three kids was probably the most difficult transition for me, but now I finally feel like I can handle it(mostly). Recovering from the C-section and all that went along with her birth was also really difficult, but it taught me a lot about relying on God each and every day, and for that I am happy. Plus, she's so stinking cute! I can't imagine life without her.
4. The beach days...and there were plenty of them. In the frigid state I live in, beach days get me through the winter. I had SO MUCH FUN taking the kids to the beach this year. I usually had to pack the whole house, sit tensely watching the boys in the water, and the amount of sand that came into our house was insane, but it was still a lot of fun. Especially going with my friends!
3. Birthday parties! This was the first year I actually did birthday parties for the boys, and I really enjoyed them. I didn't go overboard and stress over them(except for the cakes), but it was really fun still.
2. Going to Como/Children's museum with the Loukota's. We had fun, the kids had fun, and we didn't get much sleep. Hopefully its a yearly thing.
1. There are two more things that were fun, but I can't decide which one, so here are two in one. One, we really had fun on the fourth of July. We went to the parade, had a cookout and went to Nehemiah's awesome 1st birthday party. It was a good day with friends. Secondly, our June trip to Iowa was a favorite of mine. Maybe it was b/c it was summer(Sno Biz, oh yeah)and I got to stay and hang out with my sister for a week, but it was really fun(minus the flooding and hitting a deer on the way there with our van)
Happy New Year!!

I like your list, Sarah. And it is funny to me b/c Nick asked me last night what my Top Five of 2008 were. I like thinking back on a year and remembering how great my life was/is.
Happy New Year to you!
why isn't watching Lost on your top 8? You know it should be... :)
Happy New Year & White Rabbit!
Laci, it would have been, but I didn't want to sound like a pathetic loser. It was really fun. And I can't WAIT for season 5 to start!
