A Blowout, A Spare Key incident, A Sick day, and Garage sales!!

We've had a busy week. I stayed home Monday and Tuesday, but Tuesday night we went to Crosslake b/c our friends took us out for pizza. We had a fun time and visited the park after supper. They have a really nice park there, but it was overloaded with older kids, all of which Hunter was scared of(not Tate, though, he went right in with them) They played awhile and Callie got fussy, so I went in the picnic shelter with my friend and started nursing her. She was almost done nursing when she let loose a terrible sound(the sound of massive pants filling) I put the back of the van up and was going to change her and found that she had blown out everywhere! Most I've seen in all the kids(funny that it would be the girl) She had poo all the way up to her neck! It was everywhere. I spent a good 10 minutes trying to get it all cleaned up. It was nuts.

Wednesday we went to our friends house to play, and that was fun. On Wednesday night there was a spring clean up scheduled at church. Brent went to represent the youth group, and took Hunter with him. I walked to the church with Tate and Callie. I put Callie in her car seat and put that in the double stroller. It ended up being a bad decision b/c the kids were kind of wild and did more damage than good. I decided to walk back home early(I thought we'd all be going home in the van at the same time) b/c of the chaos, and Hunter walked while I pushed the other two. I didn't have a house key, but wasn't worried b/c we have a spare hidden. Or at least we NORMALLY have a spare hidden. I got home, checked the spot and it wasn't there! Someone(Brent) forgot to put it back. So...I was locked out with a very tired 3 year old, a rambunctious 20 month old and a hungry crying baby. I nursed Callie while Hunter and Tate played while hoping Brent would show up any minute, but he wasn't showing up. Then Hunter came and told me, "Mom! I have to go poopy!!" I thought, oh great! I pleaded with him to hold it and decided to trek BACK to the church to get the key. I knew Hunter didn't have the energy to walk back, and I didn't want him to have an accident, so I put he and Tate in the wagon and pulled that while carrying Callie in her car seat. My arms felt like they were going to come right out of their sockets. It was NOT FUN. I saw Brent heading home when I was within sight of the church, so we got a ride back home without incident. I was pretty stinking tired.

I woke up yesterday morning about 5:30(I should say was woken up) and fed Callie and I all of a sudden realized I felt extremely sick, so I got sick. I proceeded to get sick several times and got a major migraine. It was so weird, it just hit me. Luckily Brent was able to get the day off to watch the kids for me, and I actually got a sick day!! That never happens! I just slept the whole morning and afternoon. I don't know what I would have done without him to stay with the kids! I'm feeling better today, it was really strange how hard it hit me and then left.

We went out to some garage sales this morning with my friend and her kids. I found a few bargains. I got a changing pad for the top of the dresser that we are getting, which I was thrilled about. I was just thinking to myself I needed to be on the lookout for one of them, so it was nice to find one(for $3!) I also found a game for Hunter that I'd been wanting called Hullabaloo. We borrowed a game from Brent's aunt called Slammer, and Hunter LOVES it, and Hullabaloo is similar to it, and it was only a dollar, so I am excited. He LOVES games. He always wants to play them. I'm headed down to play it with him after I get done with this. Tomorrow is the big garage sale trip, and I am hoping the weather cooperates. After we went to the garage sales we took the kids to a park and they had fun playing. Here are a few pictures: (the one is of Micah and Tate picking up sand to throw on the slide.)

A few funny Hunter sayings:
-we were driving and there were lots of cars b/c its fishing opener this weekend and Hunter said, "Mom, there are a lot of cars in the forest!"
-I told him good job about something and he said, "Mom, I don't even have a job."

So I see you are reading about Matt, Liz, and Madeline too! I am totally hooked--it is such raw emotion, and such a tough situation--I can't imagine. They are definitely in my prayers!
