Chaos!

Whew, it has been a busy couple of days! We are having some old college friends stay with us for a wedding this weekend. It was kind of a suprise yesterday, b/c we had thought they weren't coming until today, but at about 3:00 yesterday afternoon we got a call that they were in the cities. I had been out doing yardwork with Hunter, and the guestroom was still a mess b/c Brent was finishing up windows, but we managed to get it all done and clean(not that you could tell now) by the time they got here. We were to have a date last night, which we spent cleaning, but it was still romantic :) Our friends have two kids around our kids ages. Jackson and Hunter are new friends, and have been calling each other "friend" the whole weekend. They are very similar and have been entertaining each other. They have also been getting into a LOT of stuff. Ali and I went to get some pizza tonight, and when we returned, I immediately heard Hunter and Jackson upstairs, which IS NOT GOOD. Brent had rushed up there to find that they had done a little "fishing" and taken our poor goldfish out of the tank with a net and Hunter was beating it on the floor with the net. There were little rocks and water from the tank everywhere and it was an interesting situation. Then we had to give everyone baths tonight, and I'm pretty sure I'll just stick with the three kids I'll have :) It has been nice, though, catching up with our friends.

Tate is not feeling good, and has thrown up a couple times. I'm not sure what is wrong, he doesn't feel warm, but his gums are VERY swollen, and I'm sure we'll be seeing his molars come through any second. I feel bad for the poor guy.

And now for some more funny Hunter sayings. Yesterday he helped me pick up the leaves that I'd mowed into a pile and put them in the wheelbarrow, and he really enjoyed it, he told me he was so happy we could be doing this together. And more poop talk... He asked me if cows pooped like horsies. When I said yes, he said "OH my goodness!!" What a silly boy!! Well I'm off to watch Evan Almighty...
